Whether you like or loathe Star Wars, you cannot fail to be amazed by the latest project art by digital designer Marc Hagan-Guirey or Paper Dandy as you may know him.
Cut Scene will recreate some of Marc’s favourite scenes from the original Star Wars films using a carefully cut single piece of paper. The Japanese technique known as Kirigami is a take on origami only with cuts in the paper instead of mere folds. The completed works are then displayed in different coloured light boxes which add that final element of drama to the scenes.
The project has been entitled Cut Scene and is now the subject of a Kickstarter campaign to make it into an exhibition. From as little as a fiver you can throw your backing behind the project or for a little bit more you could secure yourself an original piece from the collection itself.
