Camping with a difference

Ok so when you think of camping if your imagination is anything like mine you come up with images of those dowdy drab campsite holidays that often leave you needing another break at the end of it.  In 2015 though camping has evolved and there are some pretty awesome spots that you can pitch a tent or stay in a pretty unique place indeed.

France is a great place to head for a camping holiday.  Firstly as the weather is (normally) a lot better than our own here in the UK.  The country is HUGE as well so there are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.

We have scoped out some of some of the very best and most unusual ‘camping’ in spots worth a visit in France:

Perhaps the most interesting is the chance to sleep in a treehouse.  Who hasn’t always wanted to spent a night elevated among the trees?  ‘Camping Sylvamar’ is located in Landes, which is in the southwestern region of France close to the Spanish border.  An ideal romantic getaway with a difference.

If panoramic views are more your bag then you may want to think about heading to ‘Le Panorama‘ (shown at top of the post) which is located beneath a forest of ancient pines and right beside the sea.  Stay in one of the beach facing cabins and enjoy the stunning sunsets over the sand dunes. Bliss.

Our last suggestion is a little more unusual.  How would you like to stay in a bubble?  Well at Château de la Forêt you can take in the views of the night sky while lying in the comfort of your own little cocoon which features everything that you would expect to find in a luxury hotel.  This is definitely glamping personified.
