Next Tuesday (25th of August), is Whisky Sour Day so if you plan on celebrating it at home then now is the time to get all the ingredients sorted.
The whisky sour is my all-time favourite cocktail and will always be my first choice as an after-dinner treat when I’m out at a nice restaurant. For obvious reasons this year I’m spending more time than normal at home so I’ve gotten into mixing my own cocktails instead.
J&B Rare have come up with their very own twist on the classic sour and I must say it’s delicious. The J&B Sinatra Sour is of course named after Frank Sinatra, who was known to enjoy a J&B Rare back in the day.
How to make the The J&B Sinatra Sour
You’ll need: 35ml J&B Rare, 10ml lemon juice, 10ml sugar syrup, 15ml pasteurised egg white, 3 dashes Angostura Bitters and some Maraschino cherries to garnish.
Method: add all the ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake and fine strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with black cherry, preferably a Maraschino cherry.
Voila!
Enjoy and Always drink responsibly!
