Even if you are someone who loves shopping for new clothes, it can sometimes be hard to find the time to devote to it. Having someone to take the hassle away, who understands your style, your fit preference and budget may sound like a pie in the sky idea but it’s actually a thing. The Chapar is a fantastic online personal styling service that very simply put, helps men to shop for clothes.
It all starts with you registering on The Chapar website and answering a few quick multiple-choice questions about your style, the brands you like and your sizes. You’ll then receive a phone call from one of their stylists so that they can find out a little more about you, your style and whether or not your are looking for an outfit for a special occasion. They can help to put together a selection of looks for a holiday or for work if that’s what you need or just a mixed range of clothing to top up your wardrobe with.
Your stylist will then take all of your information on-board and get to work selecting some great looks from their selection of leading and emerging brands. These are then packaged together and placed into your very own Chapar trunk along with some styling notes that suggest some ways to wear the clothing and what would work best together.
As you may already know, my style is pretty minimal so I had asked for a mixed trunk of smart casual pieces that I could wear for work meetings and at the weekends without any obvious logos or prints. When my trunk arrived a couple of days later, I was glad to see that Laura (my stylist) had taken that on board and sent me over a great selection of things to try. There was jeans, shirts, t-shirts, a jacket and event a fragrance from brands like Scotch & Soda, Denham and Bread & Boxers.
One of the great things about this service is that it introduces you to some styles and brands that you may not have considered trying before. My trunk contained a jersey shirt from a brand that I’d never heard of called Hartford. As soon as I saw it I knew it was exactly the kind of thing I’d wear. It was grey, long-sleeved and made from the softest jersey I’d ever felt – 100% me. It’s safe to say that I’ve found a new favourite and that I’ll definitely be snapping up some more from their collection.
After your trunk arrives with you, you have 7 days to decide which items you wish to keep and which (if any) you wish to return. You then pack anything you are returning back into the trunk send it back. It’s only at this point that you are charged for the items that you wish to keep which means that you are not left out of pocket, to begin with.
To order your first trunk head over to thechapar.com and make sure you tell your stylist that you were sent by The Everyday Man for 15% off your first order.
