Find out why ICON Outlet at the O2 is the perfect place to do your Christmas Shopping

Normally I do most of my Christmas shopping online as to be quite frank the thought of dealing with the people, the queues and the weather on the likes of Oxford Street in December is my worst nightmare.

Last week though, I visited ICON Outlet at The O2 in London and my experience could not have been more different from the picture that I painted above. It’s indoor, bright, modern and uncrowded.

ICON is an outlet mall so even though it’s got over 60 big-name retailers like Nike, Adidas, Aspinal of London, Gap, Levi’s and Gant, their prices are always up to 70% off the RRP.

With that in mind, it goes without saying that if you’re after the very latest design or product then you might not find those in outlet stores but what they always have is a fantastic range of classic items, accessories and homeware gifts. All of which are ideal Christmas presents.

I was able to pick up classic Calvin Klein underwear, Nike running essentials, designer fragrance, leather goods, Yankee Candles and luxury chocolates from Lindt all at lower prices than on the high street.

When outlet shopping, you should pay attention to the in-store signage as stores often have additional offers in place such as an extra 20% off everything in the store. It’s a great way to find yourself an even better saving.

If you happen to be heading to a show at The O2 after your shopping trip then you can just leave your purchases at guest services until after or if you spend over £150 they will have your shopping delivered to your home for you free of charge.

What’s more, as it’s Christmas they are currently offering free gift wrapping within the mall. If you’ve not been down yet, I’d say that this was the perfect time to change that.
