City Stories: A few of my favourite Glasgow Restaurants

Last month I created a video mini series with Point A Hotels called ‘City Stories‘ where I focus on some of my favourite places to eat, drink and shop in my home city of Glasgow.  For the final instalment of City Stories it’s all about food.

I’ve said it before (and I know that I’m a little biased) but I really believe that Glasgow is great place to live or visit.  It might not be the top place on your list when you’re planning your next citybreak, but it definitely should be – especially if you are looking for somewhere within the UK. In the past 20 years the transformation that the city has gone through has left it almost unrecognisable, think gentrification but in a good way.  The city has somehow managed to maintain its charm, rich culture, friendliness and creativity while it has gone through its evolution.

The food scene in Glasgow in recent years has really started to buzz and it seems that not a week goes passed without some new eating establishment throwing open its doors in one corner of the city.  All these places made it a little difficult for me to choose just 3 for my ‘City Stories’ video, but I think I’ve picked a few crackers…watch my video above to see a few of the Glasgow restaurants that have been wetting my appetite.

The Point A Hotels Concept

Point A Hotels recently opened their first ever hotel on Bath Street in Glasgow (before it was joined by a few others in London) so they turned to me for some tips on the best places to check out in Glasgow.

The concept at Point A Hotels is pretty simple they focus on all of those essentials that so many other chains seem to get so wrong.  When I’m travelling all I want is a big comfy bed, power shower, fast and free wifi and a hotel in a great location.  I stayed over in the new flagship hotel in Shoreditch last week too and I can confirm that Point A definitely ticks all of those boxes!

I’ve worked with Point A Hotels on this campaign but all of the tips, opinions and views contained in the article and the video as always are my own.
