Ever found yourself browsing a brand or stores latest collection and literally been excited about it all? I have to say that this pretty much was the case when I took a detailed look at the Spring Summer 2014 offering from Farah.
The Farah Vintage collection has been given refresh this season, resulting in an edgy streetwear offering oozing with abstract prints across shirting and shorts . Staying a little more in keeping with the brands heritage the clean-cut basics retain their place in the range in the form of Americana inspired sweaters and crisp oxford shirts.
The slim fitting Brewster oxford shirt in particular would definitely have to be my Farah must buy for The Everyday Man. A well-made and well-cut oxford is the key in creating an effortless look that works for men of all shapes, sizes and style. No matter what the season or the occasion you can dress this look up or down with ease.
If you prefer to be the centre of attention…and there is nothing wrong with that I hasten to add…I suggest getting right on board with a bold printed design. A strong statement summer 14 look that you will see echoed across the high street is that of matching printed shirt and shorts. Opt for clean white canvas footwear to set this look off.
The Spring/Summer Farah ‘1920’ range in contrast to Vintage delves into the archives and borrows essences from Farah clothing of days gone by. A dab of modern-day styling and detailing brings the 1920 collection up to date. The branding takes a back seat here with the emphasis being placed on well-fitting classics for the more refined gentleman.
The colour palette sticks firmly to traditional shades of navy, red, green and grey. The knitwear, in particular, is very strong from 1920 and a great investment buy that will see you through until autumn…not that we want to be wishing away our summer just yet!
