This week, we dropped by the Oxford Circus branch of Honest Burgers to put their menu to the test. If you’re a regular reader of The Everyday Man then you’ll know that we do enjoy a good burger (probably a bit too much).
Honest Burgers, which opened its first set of doors in Brixton back in 2011, prides itself of keeping its menu simple and it’s ingredients of the highest standard. The small selection of burgers offered are all made with the same finest cuts of meat to provide diners with the optimum taste. If you’re a bit beefed out, there is also a choice of some chicken on a bun.
I braved the special (a beef burger loaded with cheddar, onion rings, bacon mayonnaise and jalapeños) and despite not normally being able to handle the heat, I was certainly not disappointed. A burger cooked to perfection served with a generous side of fries which were pretty special in their own right.
I know you’re probably thinking, “a burger’s a burger” but if you’re in the big city and you have some spare time, don’t settle for one of those chains. Push the boat out and enjoy some great food served fast at surprisingly reasonable prices!
