The House of Peroni is Popping Up in Edinburgh this Spring

I don’t think there is anywhere on earth that can claim to be the birthplace of as many pioneering and fantastic leading artists as Italy.  In fact some of Italy’s cities are like works of art in their own right, places like Florence and Venice are just so culturally significant they are almost like sprawling open air museums.

Back in 1963, no doubt inspired by the great artists of his country Carlo Peroni set his sights on crafting the first premium Italian beer and the result of his work was Peroni Nastro Azzurro, as we know it today.  Peroni were determined to celebrate their Italian heritage and the impact art has had on the way of life there and have decided to bring a little touch of it to our British shores with The House of Peroni pop up.

After a series of popular residencies in London, The House of Peroni will be landing in Edinburgh this month for a special special three-day event that will allow guests to experience a virtual world that blends art and technology. The House of Peroni will be on Castle Street, Edinburgh from Thursday 30th March – Saturday 1st April and will enable you to virtually step inside some bespoke works of art by Carne Griffiths, Fabio Giampietro and Peeta while enjoying a unique Peroni Nastro Azzurro cocktail from the bar.

At the centre of the pop up, the bar itself has been designed by Petra Storrs and will act as an eye-catching focal point featuring light effects and rich colours in keeping with the heritage of the iconic Peroni Nastro Azzurro brand.

Fear not if you won’t be in Edinburgh at the end of the month though as The House of Peroni will then be packing up and heading south to Manchester. You will be able to experience if there from the 5th until the 8th of April.
