How to make a Moose Mountain Mojito

Making cocktails at home was never really something that I did much before. In fact, in ‘normal times’, it was infrequent that I even had a drink at home but along came lockdown to change absolutely everything.

With no bars or restaurants to visit for months now, I’ve turned my hand at the art of home mixology. I’m no expert (by any means) but I have enjoyed seeking out new recipes to try out and have even grown the courage to tweak some as I make them myself.

Just recently I discovered Moose, a unique spirit which blends mint, mountain pine, gentian, chilli and maple syrup. The result is a completely unique tasting spirit that mixes perfectly in cocktails.

If you’re totally new at making home cocktails, then the Moose Cocktail Set is a great place to start. It includes everything you need to make 4 Moose Mountain Mojitos or Chilli & Maple Daiquiris.

The Moose Cocktail set is priced at £35 and includes a Cocktail Shaker (with the option of free engraving), a Jigger, a bar spoon, a 20cl bottle of Moose, 4 limes, 2 bottles of Fever Tree soda water, a 60ml maple syrup bottle, a batch of mint and the MOOSE cocktail recipe booklet.

The Moose Mountain Mojito

You’ll need 50ml Moose, the juice of 1 Lime, 6 mint leaves, 100ml of Soda Water and a cup full of crushed ice.

Add all of the ingredients (except the soda water) to a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour the mixture into a highball glass and top up with soda water.

Garnish the drink with a sprig of mint and serve.
