The big announcement that 007 fans have been waiting a couple of years on was finally made at Pinewood Studios today. The name of the next James Bond movie, the 24th installment will be ‘Spectre’.
The film’s director Sam Mendes was on hand to introduce the cast of Spectre which will once again feature Daniel Craig as agent 007. Craig will be joined by Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw. Monica Bellucci and French actress Lea Seydoux will take the roles as the infamous Bond girls in the movie.
Spectre may not sound like the most obvious of titles but as it actually stands for ‘Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion’ I suppose I can see the relevance.
Perhaps the most exciting part of today’s announcement was the unveiling of the brand new Aston Martin DB10 which has been designed specially for the film and will be produced in a run of only 10. If you fancied splashing out then it is bad news as te cars will not be available to purchase.
Spectre is expected to be released on the 6th of November 2015…quite a wait unfortunately!
