#NewTraditions with Bombay Sapphire

Bombay Sapphire New Traditions

Some Christmas traditions are all too familiar even if we only see them for a short stint over the festive season. Turkey, tinsel, Macaulay Culkin (aka Home Alone) and even the John Lewis TV advert, it’s all a bit predictable. Sometimes you need to shake things up and add a twist to the things we know and love.

To kick off those early festive celebrations, this week I attended the launch of the ‘New Tradition Christmas Collection’ by premium gin brand BOMBAY SAPPHIRE. Working in collaboration with six leading UK artists and designers, the collection has reimagined some of the most traditional Christmas items, all inspired by the iconic Bombay Sapphire bottle.

From candles and crackers to the traditional Christmas jumper, the brand has reinvigorated all that’s familiar about Christmas – my personal favourite being the set of Christmas baubles each housing a juniper spring (a key component to the gin) planted in a mix of soil and recycled glass from Bombay Sapphire Bottles.

Ensuring you have Christmas all wrapped up this year, the brand also showcased six new cocktails so you too can add a little twist to your Christmas traditions.

My commitment to shaking up traditions will be a reinvention of my Christmas Day Espresso Martini, which will take the form of a Hot Gin Mocha – recipe below!

Hot Gin Mocha

Recipe:

120ml Bombay Sapphire

3 shots of strong espresso

Long shavings of dark chocolate
