Nike x Stanger Things Capsule Collection

I’m a massive fan of sportswear and the 80’s inspired TV series Stranger Things so when the news of their collaborative capsule collection dropped into my inbox yesterday I literally gasped with excitement.

The new season of Stranger Things is set in the summer of 1985 and sees Hawkins, Indiana in the midst of big change. The 80’s nostalgia vibes are as prominent as ever and this, of course, extends to the cast’s wardrobe. Off-screen, this nostalgia is the impetus for the Nike Stranger Things collection, highlighting the Cortez, Blazer (two of my favourite ever Nike styles) and Tailwind.

The first drop of the Nike x Stranger Things capsule is expected on June 27th and incorporates Hawkins High’s green and orange colour scheme and Tiger mascot into a spirited mix of apparel and footwear. Sweat suits and T-shirts channel 1980s American phys-ed class style, and three footwear match accordingly.

A few days later the OG Pack, arrives (July 1st), and each shoe in this collection will carry a red, white and blue colour scheme and celebrates 1985 Independence Day with a year marker on the heel and special firework display sock liner.

It sounds awesome!

And for those of you wondering when Stranger Things season 3 arrives, you don’t have long to wait as it is coming to Netflix on July 4th .
