For one night only, the red carpet is coming to a city near you

Sponsored post in association with American Express®

The 61st BFI London Film Festival kicks off next month and will once again bring the best of British and International filmmaking talent to the Capital.  This year though the magic of the Opening Night Gala is coming to a whole host of towns and cities right across the UK. On Wednesday the 4th October, the Opening Night Gala of the 61st BFI London Film Festival takes place, and principal sponsor American Express is bringing all of the action to your hometown.  On the night itself, there will be a stream of the live red carpet event into 30 cinemas across the UK followed by the European premiere of the movie Breathe, which stars Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy. There are screenings taking place from as far north as Aberdeen, right the way down to Weymouth, so you’re sure to find one near you.

Breathe follows adventurous and charismatic Robin Cavendish (Andrew Garfield – Hacksaw Ridge, Silence) who is paralysed by polio whilst in Africa. Against all advice, Robin’s wife Diana (Claire Foy – Golden Globe winner, The Crown, Wolf Hall) brings him home from hospital where her devotion and witty determination transcends his disability.

Together they refuse to be imprisoned by his suffering; dazzling others with their humour, courage and lust for life. The film will be released across the UK and Ireland on 27th October.

I’ll be heading along to the Cineworld in Edinburgh on the night and you could too!  You can register for limited* tickets to see the 61st BFI London Film Festival Opening Night gala film Breathe at Cineworld Edinburgh or one nearer to you courtesy of American Express here: www.seeitfirst.com/Amex2017
