ONE WHISKY. 200 YEARS. MANY OPINIONS.

This year Laphroaig is celebrating its 200th anniversary as the world’s most richly-flavoured Scotch whisky. Laphroaig’s story is now a legendary one but can be told with one delicate sip.  The influence of the Isle of Islay from which it comes, and the sea that surrounds it, makes Laphroaig truly unforgettable and inspires conversation among those that sip it.

Of course, the strength of the flavour is not to everyone’s liking.  Much like coffee, marmite and a whole host of other bold tastes you generally love or hate the distinctive flavour, it’s rare many people find themselves sat on the fence on these debates.  As part of their anniversary celebrations, Laphroaig has produced an entertaining new video which features a selection of locals and gauges their opinions on the taste.  Some of the answers are pretty out there.

Opinions Welcome is an open-armed invitation to all people across the web to express their true feelings and in no uncertain terms. As Mark Twain once said, ‘the public is the only critic whose opinion is worth anything at all.’ Laphroaig want you to be candid, honest, and more importantly, truly creative in your opinion.

Isn’t it about time you got involved with your own tuppence worth? Head over to the “Opinions Welcome” site to see what people are saying and in a few clicks, you can custom design and submit your opinion, or simply use the hashtag #OpinionsWelcome to share your genuine opinion with the world on social media.

Whatever your opinion of Laphroaig remember to drink responsibly.
