OPPO Unveils the Find N5: The World’s Thinnest Foldable Phone

Foldable phones have come a long way in recent years, but OPPO is setting a new benchmark with its latest release. Introducing the Find N5, the world’s thinnest foldable phone, with a folded thickness of just 8.93mm—a feat that makes it slimmer than any of its predecessors. When unfolded, it reaches an astonishing 4.21mm at its thinnest point, offering an ultra-sleek profile that challenges expectations for foldable devices.

Despite its incredibly thin form factor, OPPO has ensured that the Find N5 doesn’t compromise on performance. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, making it one of the most powerful foldables on the market.

Battery life is often a concern with foldable phones, but OPPO has addressed this with a 5,600mAh battery, delivering up to two full days of use. Additionally, the device supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring fast and efficient power-ups when needed.

One of the standout features of the Find N5 is its display. The 8.12-inch OLED LTPO main screen minimizes visible creasing, offering an immersive and near-seamless viewing experience. Meanwhile, the 6.62-inch external display boasts a peak brightness of 2,450 nits, ensuring crystal-clear visibility—even in bright sunlight.

Durability has also been a focus for OPPO, with the Find N5 featuring IPX6, X8, and X9 ratings for water resistance. While it isn’t completely dust-proof, the company has significantly improved the hinge design, reducing the display crease and enhancing the overall user experience.

For photography enthusiasts, the Find N5 doesn’t disappoint. It features a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens, both tuned by Hasselblad, ensuring high-quality images with enhanced colour accuracy and sharpness. The 8MP front camera is perfect for selfies, whether you’re using the device folded or unfolded.

The OPPO Find N5 is set to launch in Europe and Asia, with availability in stores and online from February 28. Prices will start at $2,499 SGD (approximately £1,499.
