Packing Checklist for a Campervan Getaway

A campervan holiday can be a great way to get away, enjoy time in nature and escape your daily life at any time in the year. They can also be cheaper and easier to plan than a regular holiday. These holidays are also quite different from a regular holiday, and you will want to make sure that you have everything that you need before setting off. Here are a few of the main items that you want to make sure that you have.

Documentation

There are a few key documents that you want to have with you at all times for a smooth trip. This will include your passport (if travelling overseas), driver’s license and your motorhome handbook. You also need to arrange campervan insurance beforehand and to have these documents and travel insurance documents in the vehicle at all times.

Electronics

There are various electronics that you will want to have to make the trip easier and more enjoyable. This will include things like:

  • GPS
  • Chargers
  • Mobile phone
  • Tablet
  • Laptop
  • Handheld gaming system

Personal Care Items

There will be a lot of personal care items that you can pick up along the way, but you also want to make sure that you have everything that you need from the very start. You want to make sure that you have clothing for all conditions (including warm clothing for nighttime), footwear suitable for different terrain and enough toiletries to last. You also need plenty of suncream (even if travelling in winter) as you are likely going to be spending a lot of time outside. You also need to bring medication and a fully stocked first-aid kit for the campervan.

Campsite Items

The key to a fun, relaxing and comfortable campervan holiday is having high-quality campsite items. This should include folding chairs and a table so that you can eat al fresco and enjoy time relaxing outside, lighting and heating (especially if travelling outside of summer) and everything that you need for your toilet system in your campervan. You might also want to invest in some cooking equipment so that you can cook outside.

Campervan holidays are rising in popularity and it is easy to see why. These are fun trips that allow you to spend quality time in nature at any time in the year, plus they can be a lot easier and cheaper to plan than a regular holiday. While there are many benefits to a campervan vacation, you do need to make sure that you have everything that you need for a fun, memorable, comfortable and safe trip. The above are all items that you should have before you set off for your trip and should ensure that you have everything that you need from the very start.
