P&O Cruises new ship Arvia will exclusively distil a new blend of The Tidal Rum onboard

The Construction of P&O Cruises brand new ship Arvia is well underway and with her maiden voyage set for winter this year, the final details about what will feature onboard are starting to emerge.

Last year, P&O Cruises launches the first-ever distillery at sea on their ship Iona, with a unique gin being produced while the ship sails around the world. Not to be outdone by her sister, Arvia will also feature an onboard distillery but with the new ship heading for the Caribbean this winter, it’s only right that Arvia will be crafting up a unique blend of Rum instead of gin.

P&O Cruises have formed an exclusive partnership with the award-winning British rum, The Tidal Rum and they will be working together to create a unique rum blend, especially for Arvia’s Caribbean sailings.

The rum’s maiden production will take place on board Arvia in the first rum distillery at sea in Anderson’s Bar. It will then be ready for guests to enjoy neat or in an array of expertly crafted cocktails onboard. Following the launch, The Tidal Rum will recreate the recipe and bottle, ready to share and serve to guests across the entire P&O Cruises fleet.

Arvia joins the P&O Cruises fleet this December and will be the largest ship to sail from her homeport of Barbados. She will join her sister ship, Iona as one of the world’s most environmentally-friendly ships, fully powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

there will be a shopping 12 restaurants on Arvia plus 8 other places to eat, all offering a variety of cuisines to suit every taste. These include some new concepts exclusively created for Arvia including Green & Co featuring Mizuhana, 6th Street Diner and Roast Carvery.
