Protect yourself against ID theft with a Pagalli Project wallet

Identity theft is a rising problem and as switch further away from paper products to things like contactless bankcards and ePassport’s the thief’s are finding new methods of tapping into our private information.  We now use contactless to pay for many goods up the value of £30 with a quick tap but how easy is it for fraudsters to target those same cards?  As things stand it can be pretty easy, they just need the right tool and the opportunity to get close enough to you.

Contactless payments work using RF (radio-frequency) enabled chips, which contain encoded personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, bank account details and more.  If your current wallet does not have RFID blocking, you are vulnerable to skimming – a form of electronic pick pocketing.

So what can you do to protect yourself?  Well a good first step would be to ensure your wallet makes use of RFID blocking.  The new family of wallets from The Pagalli Project are 100 percent certified to protect against data theft on all known frequencies.

RFID blocking is not a new concept however most of the current products on the market are only able to reduce ‘data leakage’ – not completely block it. Pagalli is one of the few brands in the world to use technology that is certified by an independent body to block 100% of all known RFID/NFC frequencies to eliminate RFID/NFC threats.

So we know all about the technology but how do these Pagalli wallets actually look?  Well as they are made from the finest, carefully selected, sustainable and consciously sourced materials Pagalli have managed to come up with a good-looking product that also boasts the secure technology.  The designs are timelessly classic and available in a selection of styles across black and brown leather that’s produced from their own leather tanneries, which keeps the cost lower.

The Pagalli family includes the Leonardo and Moderno wallets and the Vincente passport holder. All are now available for pre-order on Indiegogo starting at $19 for early adopters.  Visit Indiegogo to order your wallet and learn a little bit more about the Pagalli family story.
