Highland single malt heavyweight The Dalmore is back with the second instalment of its Distillery Select Series, and this year’s lineup is seriously special.
Launching this October, the 2025 collection features three rare bottlings, each pulled from tiny parcels of casks hand-picked by the whisky makers in Alness. As always, the Distillery Select Series is bottled natural colour and non-chill filtered, staying true to The Dalmore’s chocolate, orange and soft spice house style.
So what’s new for 2025?
- Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish (13 Years, £350, 1,002 bottles) – matured in American white oak before a two-year finish in Médoc wine barriques. Expect citrus, mocha and a berry-spiced finish.
- Loire Valley Wine Cask Finish (17 Years, £1,000, 252 bottles) – finished for over three years in sweet wine casks from Bouvet Ladubay. Think damson plums, vanilla, caramel and baking spice.
- Colheita Tawny Port Cask Finish (28 Years, £5,500, 49 bottles) – the star of the release, finished in vintage 1997 Graham’s Port casks. Silky, layered with pineapple, raspberry coulis, cacao and allspice.
The Dalmore is making these available in truly limited numbers: online for UK buyers and at their global boutiques in Spain, Cambodia and the Philippines. General sale opens 11th October 2025, with early access for members of The Dalmore Guild.
Last year’s debut Distillery Select sold fast, so if you’re chasing something rare, you’ll want to move quickly.
