The (first ever) Friday Five!!

Welcome to the first in a new series called the Friday Five.  In short this is a curated quick-fire list of five things we are loving this Friday.  From sunglasses to songs you can expect to find a selection of interesting items to see you through the weekend…

1 – The House of Peroni

The The House of Peroni is back and this year has transformed the Boiler House in Brick Lane into a metropolitan garden teeming with food, drink, music and films.  Perhaps the highlight is the immersive installations by natural sculptor Rebecca Law, who has created this stunning floral installation (shown above)..

Running until 10^th June guests are invited to explore the transformed East London space to eat and drink and enjoy the Piazza experience, or attend one of the unique events, scheduled weekly and booked in advance.

2 – Tens Sunglasses

Tens are a new sunglasses brand with a unique lens at their heart.  Unlike typical sunglasses, Tens work with the sun to transform your view into a vivid experience of clarity and colour.  The collection of 6 unisex styles offer a shape to suit any face.  The best thing about the brand in my opinion though has to be this promo video that was shot on VHS, a nice snippet of sheer retro-ness.

3 – Ebbets x Whistles caps

Whistles have teamed up with American baseball brand Ebbets Field Flannels to create two limited edition flannel caps in aid of Trekstock, the charity that supports young people with cancer.  Available online and in Whistles Mens stores, 100% of the profits will be donated directly to Trekstock.

As part of the partnership with Trekstock the Whistles team are taking on a pretty epic mission this month to walk along the iconic Grand Union Canal.  Between Saturday 23^rd to Friday 29^th of May they will walk a total of 144 miles.  You can show your support by donating towards the Trekstock walk here.

4 – Hamilton and Hare boxers

Hamilton and Hare are a relatively new British underwear company with a big emphasis on quality.  The collection of t-shirts, trunks and boxers are made from a super soft lyocell/cotton blend, a natural fibre that gets rid of odours and allows your skin to breathe so they’re great for sport.  

This month see’s the launch of their Haymaker collection featuring a print inspired by retro boxing attire in the colours red, white and blue.

5 – Kygo ‘Firestone’

The track ‘firestone’ by Norwegian producer Kygo has been kicking about for quite a while now but that does not mean we don’t still love it.  The first track from the forthcoming album, ‘firestone’  features a hook that will grab you like a kipper, overlaid with a rather beautiful vocal.
