Experiencing the Kimpton Hotels ‘Stay Human Project’

At the end of last year, Kimpton brought their ‘Stay Human Project’ to Europe for the very first time to encourage guests to forge meaningful ties with other guests.

Kimpton have given a room at each participating hotel a Stay Human makeover honouring the local flavour of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Just before Christmas, I checked into the Kimpton Fitzroy in London to experience The Stay Human Project for myself.

Located on the top floor of the gorgeous Kimpton Fitzroy, the Stay Human room offered great views across Russell Square and the rooftops of London but had a whole host of unique features too..

Here, the Stay Human Project room features a named mural, Fill the Gap, by Bristol-based graffiti artist Jody Thomas. The mural invites guests to leave messages and share moments of inspiring connections.

My favourite spot in the room was the table with the typewriter. There was a letter writing set and the encouragement for guests to reconnect with people they have lost touch with. Typed letter’s can be sent using the hotel’s free postal service.

The room also includes an instant camera (with printer) that you can use both inside and outside the hotel for the duration of your stay. Pretty cool!

If you fancy checking into one of the Kimpton Stay Human Project room’s yourself they are welcoming guests at their properties in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Amsterdam until the 31st of January.
