We Love: these 5 men’s grooming products!

With a seemingly endless conveyer belt of new men’s grooming products hitting the shelves weekly, I thought that this week I’d share a selection of my old faithfuls for the ‘We Love’ segment.

Olverum Bath Oil

Maybe it’s a sign of getting old (probably is), but over the past few months, I’ve grown rather fond of a relaxing bath.

After trying various salts and oils, I’ve settled on Olverum Bath Oil as my favourite. There’s nothing better if you’re feeling achy or have a cold then a bath and an early night and I’ve found that the Olverum oil leaves me feeling super relaxed.

The blend of essential oils in the recipe combine to make a lovely but not too overpowering scent too.

£35 for 125ml (enough for 25 baths)

Horace Moisturising Shampoo

I used to be one of those guys who washed his hair daily, event twice a day sometimes after a gym workout. That’s all changed now as I finally listened to the expert advice and cut it down to a couple of times a week.

I love the Horace products already so was excited to try out their new moisturising shampoo this month and I’m pleased to say that it’s a winner!

When used with their Nourishing Conditioner, it left my hair feeling clean (pretty important), soft and healthy.

The Horace packaging looks great too, so the range looks great on your bathroom shelf.

£11 for 250ml

House 99 Change It Up Texturising Clay

I had used the same hair paste for literally years, but recently they took it off the market. After a few weeks of panic trying a load of other brands, I’ve settled on the as my new go-to.

I like a hair product that’s light, non-greasy and offers a strong hold. This product ticks all those boxes for me. I like the scent too, it’s not too strong.

I was a little disappointed by the House 99 moisturiser when I tried it last year, so I’m pleased that this one has fared much better.

The 75ml tub is a nice size for my travel washbag too as it doesn’t take up too much space!

£15 for a 75ml tub

Aveda Thickening Tonic

I’ve used the for so long now that it’s hard to remember what my hair was like without it.

I initially got it as an alternative to sea salt spray as I thought that it was drying my hair out a little. I apply a few sprays prior to my damp hair blow-drying and find that it styles and sits much better, ready for a small amount of styling paste.

£21 for 100ml

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

I tried the for the first time earlier this year and it quickly became one of my weekly essentials.

It claims to help to eliminate debris and dead surface skin and I must admit, that it is one of the few face masques that I think actually does a good job.

I love to use this product when I get back from a trip or before I’m heading out to an event and I always think that it leaves my face looking a lot more radiant and fresher feeling.

£26 for 125ml
