A look at some signature GIVENCHY Menswear styles for Summer 2015

Givenchy are one of those designer labels that people ooh and ahh whenever they hear the name and I guess there is a very good reason for that.  A truly aspirational brand that continues to push out beautifully strong, confident and boundary pushing propositions each and every season.

The limited colour palette of black, white and occasionally a hint of red is one of the biggest draws to Givenchy for me.  If I had the budget I would go crazy on the SS15 collection but instead I will be sensible and select my key pieces from the current ready-to-wear range.

First up is this naughty but nice perforated leather basketball top (£1085) which pays homage to Givenchy head hauncho Ricardo Tisci’s other passion in life, basketball of course.  Made from 100% leather this is more of a nightclub vest than beach or poolside attire and will most definitely get you noticed.

Aside from clothing Givenchy do leather goods amazingly well.  A fine example of their work is this black leather nightingale tote bag (£1450).  It shouts quality and is pretty unmistakably Givenchy.  Plenty of room for all your weekend essentials on short trips away.  You would be a brave man to check it into the hold on a flight though.

Finally a Givenchy icon, the star print vest.  Also the most ‘affordable’ item from the selection (£295) this classic mens Givenchy vest from Harrods in premium cotton is adorned by the signature white Givenchy stars around the collar.

The big trend for oversized t-shirts and clothing in general continues in 2015 and this vest fits well into that style.  The simple black and white colour mean that as an investment piece you can take this with you into Autumn (so long as you are brave enough to bare your arms past September).
