Admiral – The UK’s Iconic Heritage Sportwear Brand

This month we continue our look at heritage brands from the UK by checking out the latest offerings from Admiral.  Once a mainstay of premiership football jerseys the brand has grown steadily since its launch in 1914.  Who can forget the England strip the brand created for the 1982 World Cup remains one of the most iconic designs in British footballing history.

The new range for Autumn ’15 comprises of two ranges, Retro and Gold. Each has its own definitive style that gives a nod to Admiral’s history in football, both on and off the pitch.

The Retro range looks at the rich back catalogue of the Admiral archive, focusing on the brand’s hero football kits for inspiration. From the material to the tapered branding, these items communicate nostalgia of seasons past.

The Gold range is a modern take on British heritage menswear, a look steeped in history and style. This range looks at sportswear through a more luxurious lens and features annually relevant items such as the tipped polo.

Admiral will be available at 90 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from 14th July. The new collection compromises of 28 items and prices range from £16 – £30.
