The good news is that you can put down the razor as beards seem to be here to stay for spring/summer 2014 (hooray). With the explosion of this facial hair, popularity has of course brought with it a new raft of conditioning products and beard oils. I personally have found myself putting more emphasis into such products than the more traditional facial moisturisers recently. Especially after showering, I have been finding my face feeling really dry since I had the beard.
Last week I was sent a bottle of Carsons Apothecary, conditioning facial hair oil to out to the test and I must say I am mighty impressed. The first thing I noticed about this product was the aroma. It reminded me of old school barbershops, which I loved. The main body of the scent comes from Earl Grey tea but there are some hidden notes of refreshing aloe and cucumber in there too.
Even if you are not part of the beard club you can still benefit from this product as it doubles up as a shaving oil. As it is packed with rosehip oil too it instantly works to soften and condition the skin and growth making for a nice smooth shave. You can also splash a little on your mush post-shave as a soothing oil.
Carsons Apothecary, 30ml facial oil is available from the Grooming Clinic priced at £19.95.
