CHVRCHES Return With New Single ‘Roses’

CHVRCHES have returned with ‘Roses’, their first new single in three years.

The track marks the start of a new chapter for Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, following 2021’s Screen Violence. Released via Futures Music Group, it finds the Scottish trio moving into darker, more confrontational territory, with a tense synth-rock edge that shifts away from the band’s more polished pop instincts.

‘Roses’ also signals the band’s return to the stage. CHVRCHES will play two intimate charity shows in Glasgow on 26 October and London on 29 October, with the venues kept under wraps for now. Fans can enter a ballot for the chance to buy tickets, with all proceeds going to charity.

For a band that has spent the past few years exploring separate projects, including Mayberry’s solo work, ‘Roses’ feels like a confident reset rather than a simple comeback single.
