This week saw the release of ‘Settle’ the debut from Disclosure. The UK dance act are made up of brothers Guy & Howard Lawrence. The trademark sound we have grown to expect from the Disclosure singles is a mix of deep house and UK garage, and the album continues on that stream.
Tracks are laid with guest vocals provided by some very soulful sounding crooner’s which is a great complement to the deep backing beats. New single ‘When a Fire Starts to Burn’ is the perfect example of this.
If you liked the singles ‘Latch’ and ‘White Noise’ then you will love ‘Settle’ there’s nothing particularly new here sound wise but it is difficult to dislike any track. With the current mini heatwave sweeping the nation we have all started to feel like summer has arrived finally. ‘Settle’ will provide the perfect soundtrack to this sunny spell as it makes you want to have a good time.
