To mark the start of Equinox’s #PoweredByPride 2016 ‘Partners in Pride’ series they recently held a special one of event in London which merged HITT with Pilates. As an Equinox Kensington ambassador I of course went along to take part in the class at the beautiful One Marylebone venue in the capital.
The ‘Partners in Pride’ series is a the latest Equinox celebration of the LGBT population and reflects their ongoing commitment to support and honour all communities and to embrace our differences.
I am a regular gym goer as I’m sure you know but I’m not really a regular as classes or HIIT but it was fun to try something different, especially as this would be a class like no other with live DJ’s like Jodie Harsh providing the music and even a performance by Jimmy Somerville. Unfortunately though as the class progressed (and I got more exhausted) I forgot about the ‘entertainment’ and out all of my focus into the exercise.
The class was an hour-long but sub divided up into 4 segments which ensured that my whole body was whipped through its paces! The focus was on fun though and I’m pretty sure by looking around the room everyone had plenty of that.
Equinox will donate £1 to the Albert Kennedy Trust for every social media post that uses the #PoweredByPride hashtag so if you are reading this please follow it up with a tweet!
