Jameson are releasing a rare new whisky by ballot

jameson anthology season

If you’re an Irish whiskey fan, this is one for you! The master distillers are Jameson’s Midleton Distillery have been working hard on a very special new project entitled, The Jameson Anthology.

The Jameson Anthology is a curated collection of re-imagined limited-edition Irish Whiskeys that have been inspired by some fantastic releases from the past. Jameson Remastered is the first volume within the Anthology and features a reinvented take on some discontinued Jameson releases from the past.

Jameson 15-Year-Old Pot Still is the first release in the collection and is a reinvention of the much-loved classic that has not been produced since the year 2000. The very special whisky is composed of three exceptionally special whiskey styles from 15 to 17 years in age that have been matured in carefully selected American bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts. The single pot still creation, pays tribute t the traditional whiskey-making process used in Jameson’s Bow Street Distillery.

Jameson 15-Year-Old Single Pot Still is bottled at an eye-watering 56.4%. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of the 2,220 bottles through one of their online ballots, it will set you back €300 for a bottle. The public ballot opens 2 pm (IST) on Friday 8th April.

I love whiskey. The rarer the better. This one would look great on my whiskey collection. The most expensive I bought so far was Swiss whiskey for £150 a bottle (45%). Can’t wait to get my hands on this 🙂
