How to keep your fitness regime Refresh’d over winter

The Everyday ManKeeping active over winter can take some pretty hardcore commitment.  The darker mornings and colder evenings can make the thought of spending any time at all outside exercising seem horrible.  Autumn is therefore a great time to give your routine a little bit of refresh.  Trying a new way of keeping yourself fit is a great way to give yourself a boost of motivation.  On that theme, this month Robinsons have challenged me freshen up my fitness routine with the introduction of a new resolution.

You probably saw that I have recently taken up swimming already.  I’m really enjoying it as I’m not actually the strongest of swimmers but my gradual progress has been encouraging and I’ve found it to be a great way to introduce some extra cardio into my routine.  I’m 3 weeks in now and I’m definitely going to try and keep it up but for the Robinsons Refresh’d Challenge I thought that it would be a good idea to slot in a different activity that I can alternate with throughout the week.

I’ve never really been one for fitness fads or classes so I decided to instead introduce a morning run into my routine.  It’s the most basic of exercise activities, but that is exactly why I’ve decided to take it up.  There’s no fancy equipment needed and I can jump out for a run no matter where I am, even if I’m away somewhere with work.

Robinsons Refresh’d is the new on the go quench thirsting drink that contains a mix of real fruit, spring water and 100% naturally sourced ingredients.  Refresh’d comes in 3 flavours – Raspberry & Apple, Apple & Kiwi and Orange & Lime – so as well as mixing up the daily exercise routine you can keep yourself fit whilst on the go.

Sometimes you need something with a little but more taste than water and with just 55 kcal per 500ml bottle, Refresh’d is the ideal drink to keep you hydrated when you’re keeping yourself fit.  It forms part of Britvic’s ongoing commitment to help people make healthier choices.

The first session is always the hardest, so get your trainers on and get that one out-of-the-way just now. It definitely gets easier the more miles you clock up.
