Manomasa ‘Tortillas with Spirit’

Manomasa is a brand new kind of tortilla chip, ‘tortillas with spirit’ in fact and are available in a range of 3 tasty flavours.  Salt and Cracked Black Pepper, Chipotle and Lime, and White Cheddar you can use them to dip, munch them on their own or throw them into some fun recipes.  The guys behind the Manomasa have set me a little challenge to come up with my own recipe using their tortillas.

When it comes to food my regular diet is about as exciting as ahem chicken and veg.  Lately, however, I have begun to spread my wings just a little and opened my eyes to Mexican food.  Well, kind of anyway, I am still a woose when it comes to spice but I do like the general concept.

My hot favourite of the moment is chicken fajita’s but when I feel like have a cheesy blowout there is nowt I like more than a huge cheesy serving of nachos.  So I thought that I would out the Manomasa chips to the test in my pulled pork nachos recipe…

Recipe

Take 1 bag of Manomasa Chipotle & Lime Tortillas, 2 cups of pulled pork, 1 diced red onion, 1 diced red pepper, a cup of grated cheddar cheese, a cup of grated Monterey Jack cheese.

Make your own

  1. Pre-heat your oven 200.
  2. Spread the Manomasa Chips on a baking tray.
  3. Sprinkle on the onion, pepper, pulled pork and cheese.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is nicely melted.

Serve them hot and enjoy.
