Every so often when browsing the web for inspiration I stumble across something that really gets my fashion taste buds excited. You know that kind of craziness that engulfs your body telling you that you NEED the product. The AW13 bomber jacket collection from Miko Spinelli has done just this.
Bomber jackets have already been well-touted as the Autumn must-have item for fashion-conscious men. The simple tailored shape is flattering and functional. Miko Spinelli has delivered an abundance of bombers to choose from in a variety of prints and colours. The emerging designer manages to perfectly capture the ‘Sports Luxe’ style through his second collection which is now available at Selfridges.
Miko’s prints may be slightly flamboyant and undoubtedly eye-catching however they maintain a contemporary, masculine edge. The collection offers a diverse range of jackets from bold acid hues with a magnified snakeskin print, to the minimal classic bomber with contrast Nappa leather sleeves for a more subtle approach to sartorialism.
It is hard to pick a favourite from the collection with every style shouting out a little ‘buy-me-ness’ of its own. The striped little devil which has been titled ‘Gents Club’ (shown above) does keep catching my eye as I browse the website. Perhaps as it is a little less in your face than some of the styles but still makes a bold statement.
