If Nike keeps producing shoes like these I am going to need a bigger room to store my trainers. I think I officially have an addiction. The latest style to catch my eye is the all-new Nike Air Zoom Structure 18. It is rare that a shoe with stability at the centre of its design has looked so good but through a couple of decades of work by the Nike designers they have come up trumps.
The team have worked closely with elite athletes such as 10,000m silver medalist Galen Rupp and 3,000m world junior champion Mary Cain for insights when creating the new Zoom.
Most of the new Nike releases of late have made use of the flyknit technology instead of the more traditional construction techniques. The upper in this case uses a similar designed Asymmetrical Dynamic Flywire and a triple-density Dynamic Support system in the midsole. All of that added to the Nike Air Zoom cushioning makes for a near-perfect fit and a more responsive reaction to running.
I’ve been wearing the Zoom’s for a couple of weeks now and am pretty much in love with them. Firstly they are ultra-comfortable to wear and give me an unprecedented bounce when I run which I really love. Of course, the styling is always important to me too and I love that these look just as good with my jeans as they do with my running gear. A great crossover item.
For the first time, the Nike Zoom Structure 18 will be available to customise with NIKEiD on nike.com meaning you can out your own little stamp on this already reinvented Nike classic.
