Now It’s Summer. The things I can’t travel without

We are now around half way through summer 2017, so if you have still to start ticking things off of your to do/bucket list then now is the time to get cracking with it.  Before long, Halloween will be upon us along with the (colder) rain and we will de once again dreaming of June.

Personally, my favourite time of the year is spring but that’s as it’s the time to look ahead to summer and make plans for adventures, trips and general good times.  As you probably already know one of my great passions in life is travel so summer is always an exciting time for me.  Whether it’s heading off to somewhere exotic, taking a road trip here in the UK or exploring a new city, I just love it all.

Recently, Amazon got in touch and asked me to take part in their new campaign that celebrates everything about summer.  They tasked me with selecting a few things that help make my summer from their vast range of products available online.  So like a kid in an online candy shop I set about browsing their vast ‘Now It’s Summer‘ selection.

For me the most essential element of summer (aside from a some good weather) is music.  I can’t go anywhere without it, especially if it involves a long flight so top of my summer wishlist is always a good set of headphones.  I wanted some that were wireless, held a decent charge and obviously looked good too so after some deliberation settled on the Beats by Dre Solo 3 headphones.  They fold away into a handy little pouch that makes them ideal for chucking into my backpack when travelling too.

It may sound obvious, but when I’m travelling I always seek out a really good sunscreen too.  It’s always worth spending a little extra in my opinion for a cream that will properly protect your skin, as sunburn is never a good look lads!  I’m yet to find one that comes close to P20 from Riemann.  It’s non greasy and protects up to 10 hours protection, so you don’t have to worry about constantly re-applying it which makes it ideal if you are heading out somewhere for a day trip.

Lastly, I though it was only right that I toasted the summer with an appropriate drink so snapped up a bottle of the Summer Colada Edition Ciroc Vodka.  It’s literally like the taste of summer.

Now I just need to think of somewhere nice to take this little trip on their first trip!  Any suggestions?  Let me know on twitter @everyday_man.
