Thai Square Spa, London ‘Mens Time Out Reviver Package’ Review

As you step through the doors of the Thai Square Spa in London it is hard to believe that you are just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Trafalgar Square.  The spa itself is in the basement and as you head down the stairs you are transported to the peace and tranquility of Thailand.  It’s all very chilled and zen.

Thai Square have recently started a new Mens Time Out Package and had asked me a long to try it out.  You can choose from a blissful one hour Traditional Thai Massage, a soothing one hour Gentlemen Hot Towel Facial or stress-busting Back, Neck, Shoulder Massage (with or without Andaman Aroma Soul oil) as well as a 45 minute haircut in the Thai Square Salon all for £99.

Your experience starts with a short spell in the Sen Space which is made up of a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi.  When I visited I was the only person using this facility so it was the perfect chance to relax and unwind before my treatment.

I blindly opted for the traditional Thai massage without looking into the process so was taken aback at first by the fact it was not as relaxing as I expected.  This is the type of massage that really puts your body through its paces as you are stretched and massaged quite intensely by the therapist.  I could just tell that I was going to feel like a new man the following day, especially after having my back cracked!

When your massage is over you are free to spend some time in the relaxation area and enjoy a cold drink.  I was in a bit of a rush on the day I visited though so instead went upstairs to get changed before my haircut.

The changing rooms are spacious and clean but I was surprised that there was no towels in there so I had to ask for once at reception before I showered.  For a place like this I would have expected these to be well-stocked already but that is only a minor gripe.

The hair salon offers both men’s and women’s cuts and is on the ground floor just beside the reception.  The stylist I got (I forgot her name) was friendly but as I had only recently had mine cut (and the fact that I’m a bit funny about new people cutting my hair) I only had a quick tidy-up around the edges.

The Men’s Time Out Reviver is a one hour and 45 min treatment priced at £99 and is available until 31st October, 2016.
