Somehow, It’s already that time of the year where the temperature is dropping and we need to start thinking about our winter wardrobes. And as the key piece of any winter wardrobe, your jacket should be the first thing that you tick off on your wish list.
I’ve actually got a few really nice old jackets that I still bring out year after year and I’ll no doubt be yanking them out again this year but I do also like to pick up something new to freshen up my look. I’ve been keeping my eye on high street the past few weeks and have found a few potential contenders but one that has stood out for me is the Jaeger Icon Coat. A herringbone jacket that takes inspiration from the brand’s design archives.
The classic double-breasted overcoat has been reinterpreted for AW18 with inspiration being taken from Mark Rothko’s paintings through the use of a neutral grey colour palette that has been woven into the herringbone fabric that is milled in Yorkshire.
Jaeger is known for their timeless, well-made clothing and this is clearly no exception. The price-tag of £395 may seem a little steep but like a coat that you can put on rotation for seasons to come, this really is a great investment item.
The Jaeger Icon Coat is available in-store and online now.
