If you are following me on Instagram (if not why not?) then you will be aware that a few months ago I made a start in trying to grow out the length of my hair. As I was previously a wearer of a very short short back and sides the gradual change in length has called for me to re-think both my haircare and styling products.
Recently I switched my shampoo and conditioner to the Nioxin strengthening system which I have been mightily impressed by so far. Finding new styling products that handle the newly grown length well but give a natural look has not been as easy. I have tried a variety of waxes. pomade’s, mouse’s, cream’s and just about everything else to achieve my desired look.
A couple of weeks back I tried the new men-u product Liquifflex which claims to offer a long lasting flexible hold. The most unusual thing about Liquifflex is that it is not sticky like most styling creams. As you rub the cream into your hands id morphs into more of a liquid formula which you can then apply to your hair.
The formula is so light that the first time I applied it I wasn’t convinced there was anything in my hair (I’m used to heavier products that clog the hair). Once applied it adds a slight shine to your hair but looks completely natural like you have nothing in at all. The hold is good but your hair remains soft and dynamic – you can re style and mess it up as required.
Liquifflex is available from mankind priced at £13.95 for 100ml.
