Tried & Tested: The Built For Athletes Duffel Bag

Did anyone else get that excited ‘back to school’ feeling when packing their gym bag for the first time after the last lockdown? I know I did, but maybe it was as I had a brand new kit bag to pack my things in to.

Last year I had the pleasure of testing out the Built For Athletes backpack and I was really impressed with the quality and the design of the bag but I do sometimes wish that it was a little bit roomier. Rather handily, they have just launched a 35 litres Duffel bag so they asked if I fancied road testing it.

The Built For Athletes Duffel Bag is made from an extremely durable, waterproof and rip-proof fabric, so it will withstand a fair amount of wear and tear as well as keeping the contents dry in wet weather.

One of the standout features of all of the bags in the BFA range is the dedicated shoe department so you can keep your dirty sweaty shows away from your clean kecks. As well as the show pocket, there’s a large main section that will comfortably fit your kit, washbag, water, shaker etc as well as 2 smaller side pockets, a hidden zip slot for your valuables and netted pouch on the side. Essentially there’s loads of room for anything that you may need for the gym or for a night away.

It more than comfortably fits in the larger lockers at my gym too so you can safely lock it away as you get on with your workout.

The Built For Athletes Duffel also has velcro sections on either side so that you can customise it with your name, the flag of your country or with a selection of other stick-on patches. This not only lets you put your own stamp on it but makes it easy to spot your bag in a busy locker room.

At £119.99 it’s definitely a bit of an investment, but as it’s built to last, you will get your money’s worth from it over the years of use.
