TRNSMT just levelled up. The fest has rebranded its River Stage to the BBC Introducing Stage, and with it comes a stacked lineup of 20 next-gen acts that are shaping the future of UK sound. Think hip-hop, alt-pop, indie, R&B, and everything in between — all with a DIY energy and major breakout potential.
Friday kicks off with Scottish rap force BEMZ headlining — a hometown hero with serious momentum. Also stepping up is viral duo Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn, whose introspective UK hip-hop hits different live.
The weekend stays heavy with fresh names from every corner of the genre map. Standouts include Cliffords and rEDOLENT for synth-drenched alt-rock, Indoor Foxes and Fourth Daughter repping the new wave of Scottish indie, and Becky Sikasa, BBC Introducing’s Scottish Act of the Year, blending soulful R&B with undeniable stage presence.
Saturday belongs to VLURE. If you know Glasgow’s underground scene, you already know. Their industrial, synth-heavy energy is pure chaos in the best way. Add in rising names like Chloe Slater, Guest List, The Rooks, and Alex Spencer, and the vibe is locked.
Sunday closes on a softer flex. Matilda Mann brings her dreamy indie-folk, Aaron Rowe glides between R&B and indie seamlessly, and Nell Mescal delivers the kind of emotive songwriting that stays with you. KuleeAngee flips it with guitar licks and acid house leanings, while Ben Ellis and Dictator are set to close the weekend with high-energy, no-skips sets.
