We Love: New Grooming Favourites

Normally, my grooming routine doesn’t change too often. Having a busy schedule means that I tend to opt for the products that are tried and tested and that I know work well for me.

This year, of course, has been a little bit different so I’ve had plenty of extra time at home to give some new things a try and I’ve definitely found a few new favourites that will make it into my regular routine.

Here’s just a few of the new grooming products that I’m loving this year.

Olverum Restful Sleep Pillow Mist

A pillow spray may not be obviously grooming related but getting a restful and quality night’s sleep goes a long way to keeping your skin looking fresh so I’ve included this new release from Olverum in here.

Last year, I discovered the Olverum bath oil and quickly became obsessed with it and the unbelievably calming scent that it brought to my bathroom so I was keen to try their pillow spray. The great news is that it’s just as good as the bath oil.

A few pumps of this amazing essential oil-packed mist around the pillow area before getting into bed really help to bring a sense of calm and freshness. It really is like a comforting but relaxing hug and seems to help me to drift off with ease.

Horace Under Eye Serum

Let’s face is, our eyes are one of our most noticed features so it’s important that we make sure that we take care of the area around them.

Horace has just added a couple of new products to their range. One is a Purifying Face Mask and the other is this Under Eye Serum. It’s a triple attack product, designed to tackle those dark circles while both firming and hydrating your skin.

I don’t really suffer from dark circles myself but I do get tired eyes from spending a lot of time on the computer and I do find that a quick roll of this serum under my eyes really does give me a bit of boost. It’s super cooling and feels great too.

I’ve tried A LOT of eye products, some of which have been insanely expensive and in all honesty, have not appeared to do a great deal for me. The new Horace under Eye Serum is not a miracle product by any means but at just £15, I think it’s really good value for money

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme 6%

I only discovered the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme 6% a few weeks ago but it’s already one of my top 5 products, ever.

A quick wipe over the face with a cotton pad that’s been moistened with it is all it takes to leave the skin looking radiant and feeling great. It’s enriched with 6% Glycolic Acid to improve skin texture, Salicylic Acid to unclog pores and Allantoin to soothe and protect, the formula also uses Vitamin B5 to restore much-needed moisture.

I highly recommend this one, especially as it’s currently on a special price offer.

It’s currently on sale for £15.37 (normally £22.95) for 100ml from Lookfantastic

Garnier Ultimate Blends Moisturising Hair Food Aloe Vera Conditioner

This Vegan approved conditioner uses 98% natural ingredients to leave normal hair feeling natural and healthy.

You may be one of those guys who doesn’t pay any attention at all to things like shampoo and conditioner but as someone who does, this is a game-changer. Even after one wash, my hair felt and looked healthier than ever.

There’s actually a whole range of options in the Ultimate Blends range, depending on your hair type but this one does the job for me. The clean, fresh scent smells epic in the mornings too.

£6 for 350ml from Boots

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

Last but certainly not least on my new grooming selections is another vegan-friendly, cruelty-free product, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5.

I had used the same moisturiser for ages but had started to notice that my skin felt a bit dry still after I had applied it so I decided to try something else. I added this product into my routine, right after I’d washed and dried my face and before I applied a light moisturiser (I use a Murad one).

Hyaluronic Acid is a powerful ingredient that locks moisture into the skin – just what I was lacking. As well as that it plumps the skin and helps to smooth out fine lines and imperfections.
