London’s Design Museum is about to get a serious dose of Wes Anderson magic. Wes Anderson: The Archives is the first-ever retrospective dedicated to the filmmaker’s unmistakable aesthetic, bringing over 600 original props, costumes, sketches, and models straight from his cinematic universe.
Expect to see the three-metre-wide Grand Budapest Hotel model, vending machines from Asteroid City, and even Gwyneth Paltrow’s iconic FENDI fur coat from The Royal Tenenbaums. The exhibition dives deep into Anderson’s meticulous world-building, showcasing the craftsmanship behind his stop-motion classics Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs.
