Which shirt are you? It may seem like a rather odd question at first glance but it is the tagline of the AW15 campaign from the British shirt maker Thomas Pink.
Thomas Pink have created a series of short films introducing an eclectic host of characters in their natural environment. This month things kick off with ‘Blue by Ed Smith’, featuring the journalist and broadcaster and former England cricketer, and will launch Thomas Pink’s new Blues by PINK collection. As well as commentating for the BBC’s Test Match Special, Ed is also a Cambridge Blue – making him the perfect pundit to discuss the importance of this season’s key colour and why it is an essential part of every well-dressed man’s wardrobe.
Spanning shirting, knitwear, accessories and outerwear, the Blues by PINK collection takes inspiration from Sir Michael Caine in the 1971 film ‘Get Carter’. As one of London’s sharpest dressers in the 60s and 70’s, Caine’s pared back style and love of blue has inspired a blue hued palette.
Keep an eye on the Thomas Pink site over the coming months where they will be streaming the rest of the series which includes a new ‘Personally Pink’ Made To Order Service in collaboration with fashion artist David Downton, a Rugby Edit in collaboration with former world cup rugby legend Ben Kay, and an innovative Travel Collection in collaboration with Everest adventurer and explorer Neil Laughton.
By the way in case you are wondering I’m a crisp white super slim shirt, you really can’t go wrong and the fit for me is PERFECT!
