CHVRCHES sent fans into a meltdown last week with a hive of activity on their social channels. That normally means one thing, new music, and the band didn’t keep us waiting too long as last night they dropped ‘He Said she Said’.
‘He Said She Said’, is the first release from CHVRCHES since 2019 and as with most of their stuff, it is instantly recognisable as one of their own.
The lead singer Lauren Mayberry, is a great women’s rights activist and has used the track to highlight some of the ridiculous things that men have said to her over the years, i.e ‘get drunk, but don’t be a mess’ and ‘keep an eye on your waistline.
Last night the band spoke to Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and le slip that an album is on the way too. That’s sure to be one of the highlights of the summer. Fingers crossed and Covid permitting, we get to hear it live on a festival stage soon.
