Hotels can be a lovely place to spend a few days but when you are travelling regularly sometimes you do miss the convenience of having a bit more space as well as those little home comforts. Cuckooz is a fresh new short-term London concept offering stays of between three days and 3 months (you pay nightly just like a hotel) in a stylish and spacious apartment.
Recently I spent a couple of nights at Cuckooz and I’m already looking forward to returning. Each of the their apartments differs slightly in design and size but the one thing that they all have in common is a bright, modern but cosy interior. The interiors in fact were put together by the design duo 2LovelyGays and feature a mix of furniture and accessories from Habitat as well as local designers.
One of the things I find most difficult when I’m travelling is trying to maintain a healthy eating regime. With no kitchen or cooking facilities is can be far too easy to resort to room service or Deliveroo. At Cuckooz though you have the use of a fully functioning kitchen as well as a nice dining table to sit down and enjoy your meal so you have absolutely no excuse for not rustling up something delicious.
The thing I loved most though was the separate living area and bedrooms. There’s plenty of space to relax on the sofa and watch something on the apple TV before getting into the incredibly comfy bed and hitting the hay for the night.
Cuckooz apartments are located on Commercial Road and start at £180 per night for a minimum of 3 nights.
