Ministry of Sound Is Looking for the UK’s Next DJ With New Twitch Competition
Ministry of Sound is launching Boxed In, a new live streamed DJ competition set to debut on 13 September.
Broadcast live on Twitch from the club’s newly renovated main room, The Box, the concept will see six emerging DJs compete over a 12 hour stream. Alongside their technical ability behind the decks, contestants will be judged on endurance, crowd control and their presence in the booth.
Adding to the pressure, viewers will influence the competition through live voting and real time challenges, creating an experience that captures the unpredictability of a packed dancefloor.
Mentors including Sam Divine, Mak10 and G33 of Girls Don’t Sync will guide contestants throughout the competition. The winner will receive a Ministry of Sound residency, international performance opportunities and a £25,000 support package designed to help launch their career.
As opportunities for breakthrough artists become increasingly competitive, Boxed In aims to give the next generation of DJs a genuine platform to showcase their talent.
Applications are now open via boxedin.stream.
