It has been a busy wee week for CHVRCHES. No sooner had they announced the release date for their new album ‘Every Open Eye, had they dropped the latest single ‘Leave A Trace’.
Expect the same kind of sound that was established on the previous LP. The lead singer Lauren Mayberry sounds a little like a young Kate Bush at times (full of compliments me), which is the perfect overlay to the trippy synthpop melody.
On the first listen I wasn’t too sure if this was up to the same level as their previous releases but after 2 or 3 I was hooked. The chorus draws you in. Give it a listen above.
