The town of Warrington may not seem like the most glamorous of locations but it’s located just out of Manchester makes it the perfect base if you are heading to the area to take in the football or just to check out the best of the north’s largest hub.
A few weeks back I was invited down to Warrington by Pentahotels for a whirlwind 24 hours of football and top banter with some of the countries leading men’s lifestyle influencers. Pentahotels Warrington is centred around the impressed Pentalounge. A large space on the ground floor of the hotel that features a well-stocked bar, a restaurant, plenty of space to chill out, a pool table and a PS4 station. Think a bachelor pad on acid and you’re pretty much on the right lines.
If you think your trip away provides a good excuse to skip out on your gym routine then think again as there is also a decent gym on the ground floor with more than enough equipment to squeeze in a quick session.
The real reason we had been invited down to Penta Warrington though was for the Manchester United VIP matchday experience. Pentahotels have a corporate box at Old Trafford and we were lucky enough to get to take in the Fernabache Europe league tie there.
Even though I’m not red, it’s always a better atmosphere when the home side wins, so the 4-1 scoreline in Manchester United’s favour was the perfect end the Penta football experience.
Penta currently has 28 hotels globally (with rapid expansion underway too) so be sure to check them out for your next (lads) weekend away – Pentahotels.com
