Sony has officially unveiled the WH-1000XM6, the latest evolution of its industry-leading noise-canceling headphones. Building on the success of its predecessors, the XM6 introduces a redesigned folding mechanism, making them more travel-friendly while maintaining their sleek, premium aesthetic.
At the heart of the upgrade is Sony’s QN3 processor, which promises seven times faster performance than the previous model, delivering even sharper noise cancellation and richer sound quality. The headphones also feature six microphones per earcup, enhancing call clarity and environmental noise reduction.
Comfort has been refined too, with a wider headband and improved earcup design, ensuring all-day wearability without compromise. Battery life remains solid at 30 hours, with a quick-charge function offering three hours of playback from just a three-minute charge.
Sony has also introduced adaptive noise-cancelling optimisation, which adjusts in real time based on surroundings, making them ideal for everything from long-haul flights to city commutes.
Available now in Black, Silver, and Midnight Blue, the WH-1000XM6 is priced at £399 in the UK.
