Three Signs of Ageing In Men That You Should Never Be Embarrassed About

Growing old is something people either look forward to or don’t look forward to. Who doesn’t love being young, after all? While that is undoubtedly the case for some people reading this and beyond, some people out there feel embarrassed about growing up. Growing older brings with it a whole host of new experiences, some good, some bad.

At the same time, there are signs of ageing that cause embarrassment for those experiencing them. So, while it is easy to just simply say ‘ignore the feelings’, it is a lot easier said than done, with some days more manageable than others.

One thing worth noting here is that you are not the only one going through this and certainly will not be the last. While we recognise that being told that might not make much difference in how you are feeling, we have some other tricks up our sleeves; you have found yourself in the right place at the right time!

Detailed below are some signs of ageing in men, which you should never be embarrassed about. But, no matter what age you experience these signs, we are here to lift your spirits and reassure you that it is an entirely normal process to be going through! Read on for more.

Fat Distribution

If you are anything like us, having a bit of a bloated stomach can be somewhat uncomfortable. Whether it be after a big meal or a couple of beers, it is not something that any of us like experiencing. As we grow older, our bloat becomes somewhat more apparent and a bit more ever-present.

Fat distribution in men tends to convene in the abdomen area, hence the term beer belly. As we get older, the fat distribution tends to migrate here more than others, and the bloat and beer belly you experience are more significant than usual.

This is something that many men struggle with and something which could cause not only levels of embarrassment but also decreased self-esteem. So, while we recognise it can be challenging to come to terms with this type of thing, it is something that is extremely common, and you won’t be facing this alone.

Eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly and restricting the number of pints you drink per week will go a long way to reducing the amount of fat that you are carrying on your abdomen. So, not only will you be leading a healthy lifestyle, but you will be combatting that pesky fat distribution at the same time. Not bad, if you ask us!

Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence)

It’s a topic that nobody wants to talk about, but one that affects a vast number of men across the world. Naturally, concerning the nature of this condition, it is bound to cause feelings of embarrassment for the person experiencing it.

A variety of factors can cause erectile dysfunction. However, as you grow older, your chances of experiencing this increase, with almost fifty per cent of over forty’s expressing having suffered from this at some point.

Much like tackling any beer bellies you might be experiencing, there are things you can do to treat a condition like this and to minimise the feelings of embarrassment that you might be experiencing alongside it.

Viagra is the most commonly used treatment for erectile dysfunction and can be accessed both through a GP or you can buy Viagra online. In addition, Chemist Click and a variety of other online pharmacies provide the opportunity to order the medication directly to your door.

Loss of Muscle Mass and Reduced Ability to Exercise

Muscle wastage is another condition that you don’t really feel all that enthusiastic hearing about, but it is a perfectly natural part of ageing and growing older. At the same time, you are extremely agile and active in your younger years; this ability to exercise decreases over time, which can be incredibly disappointing for some people.

While losing a toned physique ultimately causes embarrassment for some individuals, it is nothing to feel ashamed about! Our bodies are constantly growing and changing to factors and environments around us; it is only natural they change as we grow older too.

Keeping active as you grow older will contribute to maintaining some of the muscle you have had throughout your younger years. So, naturally, as you get older and have a reduced ability to exercise, you want to ensure you do not push yourself too far. Understanding your capabilities and limits is critical, for you do not want to risk injuring yourself.

While these were a handful of the signs of ageing in males, we hope it has shed some light on what you should expect to face throughout the coming years. Of course, embarrassment is a part of life, but doing what you can to put it to bay will make these moments pass by!
